I'm an Interior design student and I have to design a law firm for tree lawyers..what other employees does a law firm usually have? and what kind of areas does a law firm need? 3 offices for the lawyers, a conference room, a reception...what else?

they will need a couple of paralegals, a receptionist, and they can sub everything else out. have a conference room and a law library. three offices are more than enough but also add a spare office for various spares/para's to work in.

You need fairly significant room for files and a law library. Don't forget a break room - lawyers and their clients will need coffee! If they are in an office building then there are probably common area restrooms "down the hall."
Plan the space carefully and remember your adjacencies :)
One really good paralegal and a secretary/receptionist should fit nicely.
