hi,i would just like to know how do car insurance claims adjusters estimate the cost of damage that was done to your in an accident and how much you get back if your not at fault?
Answer by Dan W
They have a data base from 100.000+ wrecks. Plug in every dent and 30 seconds later they have an estimate configured to your own neighborhood.

They don't use Kelly Blue Book or anything similar. They have a separate database with information used to determine the value of a vehicle. They take into consideration the wear and tear of the vehicle, condition inside and out, mechanical condition, vehicle maintenance and mileage. They'll give you fair and reasonable value for a vehicle of like kind and quality. If you're involved in an accident that is not you're fault they'll once again - give you fair and reasonable value. It doesn't matter who's fault it is in an accident - you get what you get.
