My son is 17, (18 in December). He was basically involved in a crash and insurance company has agreed to pay £7500 compensation. We live in the UK, and the law says money for under 18s will be placed in a special court fund. Is it possible to ask for the money to be paid to my son directly now, as by the time it has all completed, he will almost be 18 anyway, and it seems like a lot of effort having to chase his compensation up with a court fund office.
