UK Barrister or US trial Lawyer?

Hi,
I'm currently doing my masters at Cambridge and hope to go on to Law school to become a barrister. The alternative is to become a trial lawyer in the US. What are the differences in working conditions, hours, training and salary?

I dont know about U.K, but in U.S hours are brutual. I have a friend who just started in corporate law, and can easily work 80hours in a week. Then again he is making six figures with a great bonus. As long as you get into a good school in U.S, you have great earnings potential because of the legal environment in the United States. Compared to U.K, you can preety much be sued for anything in the United States.

Lets assume that the pay is equal in U.S vs U.K. Now you should factor in cost of living and taxes, and you might end up in a better situation in U.S, but again that is assuming that the demand for laywers stays where it is in the U.S
