This is my third try at SSD. I was in a sever car accident nearly a year ago; now have perment orthopedic problems with my legs. I broke both legs, my shoulder, pelvis, and ribs. My legs were very severly broken and now with everything , 15 sugeries and a year later I can't be on my feet long. My daily activities: going to the rest room ect are enough to wear me out for the day. My doctors agreed to sign disibility papers, but my lawyer says this appeal will be in front of a judge and he doesnt know if i will win my claim b/c they will say i can do assembly ect. Ive been trying with no luck. My previous job, youth correction, gave me temp office duties but i couldnt keep up with my pains so i quit. I substitute teach but after day two with driving to work, getting in the building, ect Im done in (and this is a sitting job) Im tring to make it somehow but everywhere I have applied wanted me to pass a physical or question my ability. Any Hope? I really could use the medical and help....

Your case hinges on what your doctor reports say as to the SSA required examination.

All I can say is keep fighting for it. I won my case on the third try, once I went in front of the judge. Most people win once it is in front of the judge.Your lawyer should be fighting harder for you. Anything the person there giving job suggestions recommends, your lawyer should be saying why you can't do that job. If you have any visible scars or deformities, make sure you wear something that doesn't cover it. If the judge can visibly see your disability,it will help. If you generally use a cane or assistance to walk, make sure you take it along and use it. Don't try to hide your disability like you normally would. Just be honest with the judge and tell him your limitations.
I can sympathize with you. I'm in the same boat. I can do one thing a day before I am wiped out. Grocery shopping just about kills me..lol.
You earned it,so keep fighting for it. SS wants you to quit, don't give them the satisfaction. If you lose at this level, appeal it again.
Good luck to you.
