points, earlier answers were much appreciated, i didn't know how to add these points on the ad so i re-posted, i was clearing out my garage,and had loads (603 to be exact) old old vhs tapes,there was loads old old horrors (the old 80s banned ones) manga,50s and 60s collectors tapes, and loads of porn, and amongst those WAS the old animal farm and 3 similar ones. i put them on craigslist and advertised them as private collector clearing his garage, about 1000 films on vhs, (lots were doubles) best offer over £1 gets them got to be gone by friday,banned taboo adult horror etc etc.... anyway the police called (obviously they didn't say they were the police lol) and asked me to keep them till tuesday, then they asked me to get a vhs player so they could view them, i bloody had to search everywhere to find one, one policeman turned up had a look, he kept asking me where the really bad ones were, i told him there were no really bad ones, just what i had said, he went off,2 minutes later,my garage was surrounded (10 police 3 cars and a van) lol, and i was arrested, taken to the station,and they arrested me in a wrong name, not mine lol, i gave my name, my real name, they didn't believe me, i asked for a solicitor and was told they didn't work like that anymore,i was questioned, said i had no idea the films were illegal,i only wanted my garage clear,and asked if i was in trouble, they said no, then i got no bail for 3 days, no sleep,no solicitor, i spoke to one on the phone,who said he would be at court monday morning, he didn't turn up, so i went to court, spoke to the duty solicitor for 5 minutes before she told me,id get a fine,plead guilty to having them and just get on with my life, so i did. It was adjourned for a week, my phone was taken (vodafone contract) and not given back when i was arrested, so went back to court, where the police said i had viewing facilities and i was selling them as my living, they said i was selling in them in bundles for a pound each lol, i wasn't.My bloody garage leaks and is chock ablock with rubbish,they also said the videos were absolutely sickening,and they had list that had nothing to do with the films i was selling,there were 4 animal films, there was nothing else that for any reason could be considered terrible, i was in the army and these got swapped all the time, so i got charged with obscene publications,selling films without a certificate from the bbfc, and not having a license to sell films, i was given 200 hours community service,fined and got 6 months suspended sentence for 2 years, and the police officer told me she had forgotten to bring my phone,my vodafone contract phone, she told me to collect from charring x station, when i went they told me i couldn't have it, when i asked why, i was told because you cant lol..... my appeal is on the 15th of this month, and i dont know whether to proceed, manifestly excessive the duty solicitor said, but i feel so overwhelmed by all of this i dont know what to do, (the probation recommended a conditional discharge) but that didn't happen.... i want my phone back and to be dealt with fairly, as an add on, i once got arrested as a youth,25 years ago, and on the probation form they have to fill in,it said ...lol get this, a serious escalation of offenses.... 25 years ago, unreal. I have to decide this week whether to go ahead or not... what would you do ???
Absolutley true, i couldnt believe the way i was dealt with, my yahoo email on my blackberry was aslo blocked as well as my phone sim for 2 months... i called vodafone and went crazy and they eventually sent me a new sim, and yahoo cancelled my account as well but it took ages, and im still not sure if the police knew about it,a couple strange things happened the day after i closed it and opened my new one.... police that dealt with me were scd9..... serious crime division...im still seething at the treatment i was given, still community service is a right laugh, anyone for table tennis lol....What a joke
