To clarify, I was recently invoiced by my solicitors for services they performed. I paid the invoice instantly and in full. Now, 6 months later they tell me that they made a miscalculation on the original invoice and that I need to pay an extra sum. They have admitted to their error. I don't think they can demand addition monies for an invoice already paid - can they? Am I legally obliged to pay this additional fee?

I wouldn't think so. If by chance they put it on your credit, you can take your original invoice and proof of payment and dispute it with the credit bureau just be sure anything u send is not the original but a copy showing that u did pay it,

No. Do you still have the original invoice? If so then you can prove what they charged you originally, hang on to any receipts or correspondence you receive

if you had the paper work that states how much was the balance let say total was $ 100 and you have paid that $ 100. then they can't make you pay more. The agreement was they do the service and you pay $ 100. They can take you to court but you have proof of the agreed amount.

Yes, you are obligated to pay fees for all services that were delivered to you that you contracted for. Their making a mistake on the invoice doesn't work to your benefit.
