Does anyone know if any compensation can be claimed from an airline if they lose your luggage on an inbound flight (going home). I stay in the EU and the flight was within the EU but I'm not sure if that makes any difference. Thanks in advanced...
I was returning from Larnaca Airport to Glasgow Airport with Oylimpic Holidays flying with the airline Eurocypria.

yes mostly you can if you go to the office of the airlines
but it also depends on which airline it is

It depends if they have lost it temporarily or permanently. The latter definitely yes but the former you'll have to look at the terms and conditions of your ticket, typically they don't pay out for the first 12 hours. There are no differences in conditions if the leg is inbound or outbound.
