Who pays for doctor's bills??

Few months ago, I was involved in an auto accident. I hired a lawyer who set me up with a chiropractor. I got my injuries treated for 2 months and the treatments helped quite a bit.

Well, recently, lawyer decided to drop my case so visits to the doctor were no longer authorized.

So who owes the doctor's bill? I believe it was about $ 2000. The only thing I signed was a "Doctor's Lien".... I'm not sure what that means. When I signed the retainer with the lawyer he said "NO FEES UNLESS WE WIN THE CASE"... and said nothing about doctor's bills.

I'm just worried the doctor will sue me for the treatments?????????

I did give him info about my health insurance with Blue Cross? Maybe they will charge to them????

HELP!!!!!!!!! I'm so confused and worried!

You are responsible for the bills. Your insurance company might cover some or all of the bills, but ultimately YOU are responsible for paying for any medical treatment that YOU receive.
