Marc Bolan, flamboyant lead singer of glam-rock band T Rex, died in a car crash. His sweetheart singer Gloria Jones was driving, This friend of mine claims that Marc was actually beheaded in the accident.
Now, there have always been rumours that actress Jayne Mansfield was beheaded in the car crash which killed her, but that has been strongly denied. See wikipedia, regarding the picture taken at the accident site which people thought depicted her severed head. It was actually her wig.

Whoa.. that's a sad story. That's crazy that he didn't know how to drive because he was scared of dying young and that is how he died. Anyway, I doubt he would have been beheaded but you never know cuz he was cremated.

Dunno. I always heard that Mansfield and Duane Allman were beheaded in their accidents. The other musician too. Trucks? Gordy? I forget.

No he was NOT - he was thrown out of the car or into the back as he wasnt wearing a seat belt and died of head injuries instantly.
Jayne Mansfield WAS - a sheet of plate glass half slid of a lorry which her car went into so I recall.
Her daughter is Mariska Hargitay who is in Law and Order: Special Victims Unit

No he wasn't beheaded. His throat was cut and he suffered horrific wounds but he was not beheaded.
