There are the areas I need addressed, please!
1. My website will be a Pokemon website where people can participate in tournaments and win cash prizes via paypal. There will be no entry fee for these tournaments.
2. There will also be tournaments where there is a fee to enter, and most of the entry fees (about 85%) will be used as prize money, and the rest will cover site maintenance.
3. Members will be able to set up battles and put money up on their skill. Because Pokemon is skill based, there is no gambling whatsoever involved. The site won't take any of the money put up (ie. if both trainers put up 10 bucks, the winner will win 20).
Does this seem legal? Would it be better/legal to set up a point system throughout the site, and members can purchase points through paypal, and then put points up on battles/use to enter tournaments, and then trade their points in for cash via paypal.
Thanks for your time~

You'd have to check with the gaming laws by state, but I think it's considered in the same vein as gambling whenever there is money involved. The points system sounds safer.

I don't think its legal to create a website using nintendo's characters without permission. When creating a game like kindom hearts they needed permission to use the characters like..mickey, goofy and so on.
