I had 1 years no claims bonus and had an accident around 6 months into my second year. I had the accident and claimed and know I will not get any no claims this year. At renewal time do I actually still have my 1 years no claims and also state I have and accident? I'm not sure if I still keep my previous no claims of one year? Or do I now state I have 0 years no claims and had an accident?

Please help!

yes im afraid you will have lost your no claim bonus if it is a fault accident or claim.Unless you protect which you can only do on 5 years no claims. In theory you could have 4 years no claim bonus unprotected and lose them by just 1 fault accident.
