I have a property which is a 4 bed house and a seperate self contained flat.
They are both on the same title at the moment and I want to split this so that the 2 properties are seperate and have their own title each.
Does anyone know how long this takes?
Does anyone know how much it costs?
Does anyone know what is involved?
I would really love to hear from someone who has experience of this or a solicitor.

You would need to have a survey made of each property to have a new legal description. If the total property has a mortgage, you would need to pay it off and rrefinanceeach parcel separately. A lawyer would be a very wise move for this process.
