You need to submit a 'bodily injury' claim with the liable insurance company. After that, it will be assigned to an adjuster who will ask you a horrendous amount of questions, ask you to sign medical authorizations and they'll request medical records and chart notes from the emergency room plus any records from all facilities that you treated or are treating at. Proving short/long term memory loss (although not uncommon with head trauma) will be difficult as it needs to be documented by a physician. Attorneys are nice because they do all the leg work for you though they usually charge 33 1/3 % of the total settlement amount. Good Luck!!

You will need to call your insurance company for help. If you wasn't at fault, the other driver's insurance company will cover your dr. bills. If you was t fault, you will need to deal directly with your insurance company. Hiring an attorney shouldn't cost anything for an evaluation and can help you get more money for all of your losses, pain and suffering.

Simply notify your insurance company. They will handle the entire matter. That is what you have insurance for. Use it !

start off by calling your insurance company..you may or may not have coverage depending on what state you live in and what coverages you elected when you purchased your policy. some states require PIP(personal injury protection) these states are known as 'no fault' states. if you have this coverage it will cover 80% of your medical bills and the at fault will cover the 20%. you may also carry medpay, which would pay 100% of your medical bills up to your policy limit. if you have no medical coverage, then the at fault insurance company would owe dollar one and you would need to present a bodily injury claim. if you were at fault or if it was a single vehicle accident you may fall back on your health insurance.
