I had an accident as a named driver on someone Else's vehicle over 2 yrs ago. It has been almost 3 yrs since I had my own car and insurance and I never made any claims. It was not a major accident I ran into the back of someone who braked at the last minute

Im not sure how it works in the UK, but over here in the states if you report an accident to your insurance it stays on your record for 3 years. Since you said you never made a claim, I dont think it should affect your insurance.

It is going to depend on the company. Some look back 3 years and some look back 5
