hi ive been to a solicitor to make a complaint about the police, as the messed up big time on an investigation.
a woman attacked my gf with a knife, police was called.
they didn't close off the area, they didn't search her house until 4 hours after the attack and in these 4 hours they let 5 of the defendants family members in an out of the house without searching them on the way in or out!!!
as a result of this the knife got out and my gf attacker got found not guilty!
so do you think she will be entitled to compensation and if so how much?

Realistically no. The police have a lot of resources to throw at the case and can delay it until you grow old and die. They probably required a warrant to enter and could not imprison the other members in the house.
