I won an auction for a $ 400 projector. The buy protection on the side (that I noticed later) said it was guaranteed for $ 200.
The seller is completely non-communicative after the auction and has a rating of 3 but is verified. He did answer two questions I had after the auction.
It is now day 10 since the auction ended. The claim I made with payal requires him to repond in 8 days. If not, it will be decided in my favor.
If it is, does paypal transfer the money (if available) from the seller's account back to mine. Or am I only getting 200 back.
Like a moron, I finally starting believing paypals little page that says there is no need to use a credit card as my account is better. So used a direct withdraw out of my account for it and not my checkcard.
Oops I meant he answered 2 questions before the auction ended... then dropped off the face of the planet after it closed and I paid

Paypal will refund all of your money. Be persistent, call customer service every day if you have to.
What site was the auction on? They should have some sort of consumer protection. File a complaint!
As far as not using a credit card(or your checkcard) use it!
It doesn't hurt Paypal but the fee for the seller is a little higher. So I don't think Paypal suggested you don't use a credit card, maybe the seller.
