no win

Moreover can you stand winning if every win is like watching paint dry? You can't just win with pitching, defense, some speed and maybe a homerun a game. It's deadly dull. There's more to winning than mere efficiency with no frills. You've got to have a few laughers, the 12 run, 18 hit games .They're a cathartic release and without them, you're playing constipated baseball.
You're a girl so you're not informed enough to make that judgment.

The Yankees can and will continue to win.

Answer by Nick
No. They need the power and home runs to win more. They arent paying A-Roid 30 million a year to bunt!

Honestly, I don't know what you're talking about:
6 of the 9 starters have averages over 300 and 2 of the alternates have 500 averages (limited playing time obviously). Johnson's average is way down, but his on base percentage (which is why the Yankees got him) is over 400. Tex is the only one who's off to a really bad start, which is not unusual for him. He always comes around in May.

The Yankees are first in the American League (4th in MLB) for runs scored. There in the top quarter of MLB in home runs, RBI's and Average, they lead the league in on base percentage and they lead all of baseball in slugging.

So I'm not all that worried about Yankee power or their ability to score runs. Having a bunch of 1-2 run innings is just as good as 1 5-7 run inning. In fact, it shows they can do it against good pitchers, not just waiting until they find someone with nothing in the tank. It's a better sign for their long term staying ability.

And that's not even mentioning their stellar starting 3 pitchers and adequate (jury's still out) 4-5 pitchers.

And if you want to see some impressive score differentials, how about 10-0 against the second leading team in baseball, Tampa Bay on April 10th. They've had 6 wins by at least 4 runs already in only 13 games and they are off to the best start in baseball.

Really, you're worried about their chances?

With everything you said about the no frills... don't the Yankees get the W regardless of how they win? A win's a win right? Doesn't matter if watching them play is "like watching paint dry", if at the end of the game the Yankees have more runs, the Yankees get the win. The non-excitement and no frills baseball you're so adamant every game should be wont give them a loss.

The Yankees small-balled in the late 90s.

Guess it's fine then.

don't worry the power will come. just wait till texeria heats up. but they lost power bats Damon and Matsui so they will have less power this year more speed in granderson and gardner but with some power in granderson and more walks with johnson. and they also lost mr. clutch late innings in melky and damon.

Of course, because they are the Y-A-N-K-E-E-S.
