I am considering donation to a lesbian couple and both parties are keen to have a father figure in the childs life. Of course there are many legal issues with this, such as visitation rights and financial contributions. If both parties are in agreement can a written document be seen as legal/binding as to the exact responsibilities of both the legal father (myself) and the lesbian couple?

Don't know about the UK specifically but have heard about a case where the sperm donor was Held financially responsible for the child. The same has happened in the US. Really would be safest for you not to do this.
